Alexandria Fairfax Aviation Program 2020-2021
Time & Location
About The Event
December 1, 2020
We hope you and your family are safe and healthy. Earlier this year, Alexandria-Fairfax (AF) Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund (KSEF) (501c3) was required to suspend our regularly scheduled Youth Aviation program. We have now created a safe environment and online portion of the Aviation Program for our students and Aviation instructors.
This year, we are introducing the Youth Aviation Program through a virtual classroom and access to flight simulation software that students can run from their favorite web browser. There is no setup or additional costs for families. You just need your tablet or laptop like the one you now use for school.
The program is being taught by actual pilots and aviators. The instructors will teach basic flight skills and “Applied Academics” in such subjects as the mathematics of flight navigation, basic aerodynamics, the engineering of aircraft components and their functionality.
Please see the schedule below, and additional details will be provided to students that sign up at the link below. Sessions will run from 10:00 to Noon on the Saturday mornings listed below.

Our goal is for every student to successfully complete aviation review. Please make sure you to clear your schedule to fully participate for each session. We look forward to see you at the first virtual class.
Thank you for your time and participation.
